About This Course

Hazard Scenarios, Disruptions, and Business Continuity Planning (FELLOWc200) is required by all Fellows who need to support their clients through a FEMA Business Continuity Plan Assessment (although this course is a foundation prerequisite to learning to do so). This course takes about 2.5 hours to complete. This course provides training on what hazard scenarios are and how they can contribute to disruptions. It also provides training on what business continuity plans are and how they can help businesses prepare for, prevent, or recover from hazards. You will complete a series of quizzes. Your evaluation will be based upon your acquired knowledge, as well as your effectiveness at reading comprehension, time management, and problem solving.

Course Objectives

Fellows will understand 1) what hazard scenario is and how it impacts business operations and value chains 2) what a business continuity plan is and how it is essential for business operations and survival 3) what a business impact analysis and risk assessment is and how it helps businesses 4) what emergency response preparedness includes.

Requirements

Operations Assessment (FELLOWc106) is a prerequisite for this course.
