About This Course

Introduction to Big Data, Google Business Profile, and Search (NAV204) is required by all Community Navigators (both Summer and Academic Cohorts) during their StartUp Training and typically takes about 3 hours to complete. In this course, you will learn what big data is, how data is collected, and why local businesses owners need to optimize their Google Business Profile. You will also learn how data and search go hand in hand to optimize a business' visibility online. You will complete a series of quizzes, and your evaluation will be based upon your acquired knowledge as well as your effectiveness at reading comprehension, time management, and problem solving.

Course Objectives

Community Navigators will understand 1. What big data is and how it impacts local businesses 2. What Google Business Profile is and how local business data impacts how customers find and buy from local businesses 3. How Google Search engines work and how data helps optimize search results.

Requirements

NIST 800-171 Cyber Assessment Checkup Meetings (NAV203) is a prerequisite for this course.
